Description
In German with English subtitles.
This is a region-free DVD-R without case or artwork.
Paris, around 1900. Shortly after returning from Morocco and being demobilized, George Duroy (Forst) discovers that his charm and good looks enable him to charm ladies at will. Forst brings to the screen the first telling of this tale of a man who unscrupulously forces his way up the social and political ladder by using and exploiting the women he charms, but inevitably, there is a price to be paid.

"Bel Ami" = "Rififi"
November 22, 2014
Reviewer: F. Hounder Clay from Reynoldsburg, OH United States
Bel Ami means loosely what Rififi meant, in the Dassin film. Here Willi Forst has fun with a double order: directing and starring. Good songs, good jokes, great direction.
