Description

This is a region-free DVD-R without case or artwork.

In French with English subtitles.

The title of this film translates to "Far from Vietnam". Six directors combine efforts for this documentary, a searing anti-American indictment of U.S. involvement in Vietnam. Alain Resnais, William Klein, Joris Ivens, Agnes Varda, Claude Lelouch, and Jean-Luc Goddard all direct segments. They are quick to point out that the U.S. is radically divided about their country's policy to stop the threat of communism.

Reviewer: Peter de Moncey-Conegliano from Ayr, South Ayrshire United Kingdom
This is a truly excellent anti-Vietnam War film made before it was even fashionable to make anti Vietnam war films. It is not propaganda per se but merely documents the truth. How the United States attacked a poor undefended peaceful country. And U.S. demonstrations for and against the war.  It is difficult to imagine today top-notch French directors making a film like this today against U.S. foreign policy given France's total support for recent attacks on Libya and Syria.
