This is a region-free DVD-R without case or artwork.

In German with English subtitles.

This film is also known as "The Last Ten Days", "The Last Act", and "Ten Days to Die". Albin Skoda plays Hitler, who wanders in and out of delirium as his Third Reich crumbles. He is surrounded by reams of existential dialogue from his generals and associates, courtesy of screenwriter Erich Maria Remarque, who based his script on Judge Michael A. Musmanno's book Ten Days to Die. Oscar Werner costars as a fictional "good" Nazi officer who acts as the film's voice of reason.

5 of 5 Don't ever say jawohl again. June 6, 2018
Reviewer: Hildegard Brosseau from Stratford, CT United States
These are the last words uttered by Oskar Werner in this excellent account of the last days at the Fuehrer bunker at the end of WWII. This is as close as we can come  to what actually happened. This is not fiction, this is the real horror. Traudl Junge, Hitler's secretary, was hired as advisor and much of the dialogue is verbatim to the conversations as recalled by Frau Junge. Erich Maria Remarque was one of the script writers.

MovieDetective's print is crisp and clear with reasonably accurate subtitles. I urge everyone to have a look at it. It is a film worth having, even if you're not a history buff. I might add that the role of Hauptmann Wuest, played by Oskar Werner, is the only fictional character. Everyone else really lived [but not to tell the tale].
