We chose this film because of its music scoring by the great Jean Prodromides and, since it's set in a Catholic boys' school, the score is all choral and clerical.  Regrettably, there is not much music in the film but the directing-and-performances are musical in their own right:  story of infatuation among students and the strict reaction of the school hierarchy.  Because it's a melodrama, it could have used a more participatory music score but, all-in-all, it comes off as a sensitive period piece, very French and very 1960s.
