I've been looking for Brownlow's Hollywood for years and never expected to find it.

Given its rarity and the bad reputation of VHS copies, I was amazed that you found a LaserDisk copy to duplicate. Just amazing! Thanks for caring.

Received safely in UK within 8 days of order.
Very pleased with transfer quality and packed securely. All in all I strongly recommend Movie Detective, great that you are able to supply a British production which is impossible to get over here - Many thanks guys, I'll keep checking your listings.

Ordered my DVDs on November 3rd, expecting a 6-8 week delivery to Germany (as was my experience with USPS). Got a tracking code within a day and received my package on November 18th, just 2 weeks after ordering. :-)

DVDs were securely packed and work just fine in my EU DVD player. The video material on the DVDs is as promised.

TL;DR: Very happy with my purchase and shipping to Germany.

There are 13 one-hour segments, originally intended for TV, I suppose. The stories focus on the people who starred-in or made silent films. There were short outakes of some of the famous scenes. It was a window to another era, and did uncover some of the dark side. I especially enjoyed interviews with silent film stars - or family- who were still living in the late 1970's.

I 1st saw this documentary while stationed in Germany on late night ZDF. For years I have been searching for a copy of it. Lo and Behold! Movie Detective had it at a great price. Ordering was simple, payment was easy, Shipping was fast and the whole family has had fun watching and learning about early Hollywood. The discs were exactly as advertised and ran perfectly in our DVD system.
