I didin't expect the high qaulity DVD because it is described as DVD-R. But it was excellent! It was not a video quality but a DVD qaulity. I've nothing to say except thank you.

Mai Zetterling's Night Games is reminscent of Joyce's _Ulysses_ wherein is to be found the memorable line, "History is the nightmare from which I am trying to awake." This is a nightmare from an unusual perspective, a nightmare of unbridled female psychic destruction. Zetterling's courageous look at what happens to a woman who has none of the usual economic constraints on her psychic development in a context of European spiritual decline is compelling to say the least. Unfortunately, this print seems to be one in which the infamous orgy sequence which was purported to contain actual sex is truncated or cut entirely. (IMDb lists the original running time at 105 minutes and this one comes in at 101.) But the transfer to DVD is pretty good and the strange and even shocking turn of events is otherwise preserved.
