Headlights in the Fog is a 1942 Italian drama film directed by Gianni Franciolini and is considered to be an essential part of the development of Neorealism, which emerged around this time. The film stars Fosco Giachetti, Luisa Ferida and Antonio Centa. The film's art direction was by Camillo Del Signore. It was made at the Palatino Studios in Rome and on location in Piedmont and Liguria. The film follows the lives of a group of truck drivers as they pass through a truck stop; one of the drivers is married to a restless glamour girl who decides she’s had enough of domestic bliss... and acts on it.

A very perceptive film about love and marriage.It ranks with Maurice Tourneur's 1943 classic Val D'Enfer and the 1955 Dragnet season 5 #3 tv episode `The Big No Rain' as one of the three greatest `wandering women' films ever made.
