Director
Dino Risi's second feature film shows the joys and disappointments of three young women who dream of making a career in film at Italy's famous Cinecittà Studios. Luisa (
Cosetta Greco) has talent and may find fame; Franca (Piera Simoni) tries to seduce a producer, but has no artistic skills; and Giuditta (Liliana Bonfatti), the most inexperienced and naive, will have to choose between the dream of cinema and the reality of marriage. Also featuring
Marcello Mastroianni as a cameraman who's also a ladies' man. As we follow the story, we get some interesting glimpses inside teh famous studio at work.
