In Italian with English subtitles.Vittorio Gassman and Alberto Sordi don ill-fitting military uniforms in this anecdotal Italian service comedy. They play a couple of World War I soldiers, adept at sidestepping duty and responsibility, but courageous to the core when in a pinch.

A Genuine Italian Classic
This is truly a fantastic movie. I am happy to have it in my collection now, thanks to MovieDetective.net. It deals with the Italian participation in WWI and the struggle against the Austrians. La Grande Guerra
Films was shipped quickly and securely. Picture and audio quality were good. I have a complaint of the 'title' cards (accompanied by song) in between scenes, on only one (the second) was given translation. Aside from that I was satisfied with the translation.

A splendid classic!
Beautifully rendered in anamorphic, capturing the grim black and white cinematography, this is a bargain.
