Caught this in mid-1980s at an East Hollywood art theater on a bill with Carlos Saura's Carmen with Laura Del Sol, said to be the latest hot foreign film -- it was disciplined, cool, and smoldering underneath, but Los Tarantos, a Spanish update of Romeo and Juliet set amid a feud between a wealthy Barcelona family and a poor one, brings far more heat with its spontaneous, celebratory, even explosive flamenco dancing, especially by Carmen Amaya, a world-famous dancer, who died all too early some time after the film.On-demand DVD arrived labeled, in good condition, in reasonable time. Would definitely use this seller again.

Much better quality than I expected for this hard-to-find title. A huge extra bonus is the subtitles!!This film is all about flamenco dancing. One of the dancers is a woman who went onto great fame.
