Widescreen. Two lovers, each a member of feuding gypsy clans, decide to marry despite their impossible circumstances. This exotic version of Romeo and Juliet expertly utilizes the passionate music and dance of flamenco to unravel its tale of love and tragedy. Written and directed by F. Rovira Beleta with adept cinematography by Rafael Peres de Rozas, Los Tarantos was nominated for a Best Foreign Film Oscar in 1963.

Amazing performance of flamenco
This movie is a jewel! It features some of the greatest Flamenco dancers. Don't miss it!

movie
order filled quickly, undamaged. No scratches, thumbprints or cracks. The transfer from an old-stock movie was very good; colors vibrant, and sound clear.Thanks to a trustworthy dealer.

I saw this film as a young teenager the first time
I have wanted to have this wonderful film in my collection. Now I do, the video quality and transfer are excellent. When I saw it the first time it was in a movie theater with 70mm Screen.Thanks again for another wonderful film.Luis

Best Foreign Film nominee should be remembered

Much better quality than I expected for this hard-to-find title. A huge extra bonus is the subtitles!!This film is all about flamenco dancing. One of the dancers is a woman who went onto great fame.
