This is a region-free DVD-R without case or artwork.In French with English subtitles. Unjustly forgotten today, Macadam opened to good reviews and excellent business when it first came out in 1946. The film takes place in the "demimonde" of Paris' Montmartre district. The incomparable Francoise Rosay heads the cast in this atmospheric, melodramatic yarn about French gangsters, their mistresses, and various and assorted "ladies of the evening." Much of the critical attention was centered around Simone Signoret, in her first major screen role.

Very good movie hard to find even in France, with the beautiful actress Andrée Clement.Very good transfer. Professional quality.Thanks to MovieDetective to provide such product. Highly recommanded!

Excellent Quality
I can't speak for the content of the movie because I haven't watched it yet, but the quality of the video is excellent, and the experience of buying through Movie Detective was outstanding. A great resource
My first purchase was for a very hard-to-find French movie from the 40s. I received it within a couple of days and was very surprised by its quality. The fact that subtitles were optional rather than printed on the movie was another great feature.
