A liberal-thinking author (Jean-Louis Trintignant) watches his wife as she attempts to seduce his best friend at a dinner party. She ends up taking on another man as well, and the writer has an affair with the another dinner guest. Soon the three men and two women are entangled in a confusing series of partner-swapping sex sprees where everyone's morals are challenged in the wake of the sexual revolution. Also with Annie Girardot, Florinda Bolkan, and Tony Musante, and features a celebrated score by Ennio Morricone.

Kinky 1960s melodrama. Sexy cast, with nice twist ending, with a superb score by Ennio Morricone.

The decadent rich, once again, Italian style. Not much of a plot, decorative production design, mesmerizing Morricone score. Creative in its eroticism in that not much is actually shown. Quite ahead of its time in that the threesome sex scene has two men and one woman. Trintignant, Musante, Giradot and Bolkan are excellent. For sophisticates only.
