Natale al Campo 119. Huddled together on Christmas Eve, seven Italian prisoners recall happier holiday gatherings with their loved ones. A series of flashbacks transport the prisoners to their families in Rome, Naples, Florence, Venice, Bologna and Sicily. Each of the reminiscences is highlighted by an authentic folk song, performed by authentic folk. Of the main characters,
Aldo Fabrizi stands out in a marvelous, well-rounded portrayal.
